About me
Hi! I’m Dane Maximo, I’ve been working remotely since 2016, building and managing WordPress websites, working on SEO and digital marketing, and supporting software products and customers from different parts of the world.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with companies and products such as Automattic, Kadence WP, Snapps, Player FM, Oscar Wylee, and Uplift 360. As a former Automattic Happiness Engineer, I supported a SaaS product and helped customers troubleshoot technical issues, while my work with Kadence and Snapps involved product and technical support. I’ve also worked with digital marketing agencies, building WordPress websites for their clients and helping with website-related tasks.
A big part of my work has always been figuring things out. That could mean building a website from scratch, improving an existing one, working on on-page SEO, troubleshooting a WordPress issue, or helping a customer understand how something works. I enjoy the technical side of the work, but I also value clear communication and making things easier for the people I work with.
Working remotely for many years has also taught me the importance of communication, reliability, and integrity. When working with clients and teams across different time zones, keeping people updated, being honest when something needs clarification, and taking responsibility for the work are just as important as getting the technical side right.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me chasing sunsets, swimming, enjoying a quiet camping trip, or looking for hidden food spots. I also love hot chocolate, spontaneous road trips, and spending time outdoors. These are the things that help me slow down, recharge, and come back to work with a fresh perspective.
Technology keeps changing, and that’s one of the things I enjoy about this field. There’s always something new to learn, something to figure out, or a better way to do things.
