The Goal

To design a clean, simple, and visually appealing restaurant website that enables online food ordering. Starting with a template, the website incorporates integration with TouchBistro’s POS Online Ordering API, allowing customers to place orders seamlessly from the website.

Challenges

This project brought the unique challenge of creating a digital identity from scratch for an established family-owned business with a long-standing local presence. With only the restaurant’s logo to work from, I drew out the branding colors, fonts, and design style that would best represent the restaurant’s heritage and appeal to its loyal customer base. All text, images, and content had to be curated to build an inviting online experience that aligned with the restaurant’s traditional values.

Process & Approach

  • Inspiration & Design Concept: I began by researching similar websites for design inspiration, sharing mockups and ideas with the client to refine the look and feel.
  • Content Collection: Collaborated with the client to gather or create necessary content, including videos and images.
  • Integration and Testing: Integrated the TouchBistro Online Ordering API and tested it to ensure seamless ordering and ease of use for customers.
  • Collaborative Review: Maintained continuous communication with the client, confirming design choices and updates at each stage to ensure the project met expectations.

The Result

The final website exceeded client expectations, offering a visually engaging, user-friendly interface with smooth online ordering functionality. Delighted with the outcome, the client further entrusted me with overseeing the business’s digital marketing, reflecting his confidence in the website’s ability to grow their reach and enhance customer experience.
