The Goals
The original objective was to seamlessly migrate the Planet Naturopath website from Thrive Themes to Kadence WP. Initially, the plan was to recreate the existing design, but partway through, the client decided to take the opportunity to refresh the look entirely, opting for a more modern and visually engaging aesthetic. This shift required a blend of technical precision in migration with creative direction to deliver an updated, brand-aligned website.
The Challenges
During the migration, a series of technical challenges arose that required thorough troubleshooting and strategic updates. Outdated posts, broken links, broken image links, and redirect chains all needed fixing to ensure the website’s performance and usability.
Additionally, the ActiveCampaign integration lacked automation for newsletters, reducing its effectiveness for audience engagement. As part of the modernization, I utilized Google Tag Manager to track button clicks and other user interactions. However, I encountered a significant number of outdated and unused tags, which required careful removal before I could add and optimize new tags for accurate tracking.
Finally, with the client’s shift toward a refreshed look, I redesigned the landing page to reflect the new branding and create a cohesive, streamlined user experience across the site.

This comprehensive approach ensured the website not only reflected a modern and engaging design but was also optimized for performance, SEO, and enhanced user tracking.
The Result
The client was thrilled with the final outcome. The website’s new look and colors received immediate positive feedback, with the fresh palette perfectly complementing the brand’s core identity.
The newly created pages began attracting signups almost immediately, effectively capturing leads for the client’s expanded service offerings. Automation sequences functioned seamlessly, delivering targeted emails and landing pages to the intended audience, optimizing user engagement.
Additionally, the Google Tag Manager implementation ensured accurate tracking of user interactions, which appeared effectively in Google Analytics reports, giving the client valuable insights. The website’s overall performance showed a marked improvement, enhancing load times and user experience.
