The Goals

To seamlessly migrate Shamelessly Sexy’s website from Wix to WordPress, using Kadence WP and Kadence Blocks Pro to elevate design flexibility and significantly boost site performance.

The Challenges

  • Design Recreation Without Direct Access: Rebuilding the original design entirely from scratch in Kadence WP and Kadence Blocks Pro without logging into the original Wix site presented unique challenges.
  • Detailed Element Replication via Developer Tools: With no direct access, I relied heavily on browser Developer Tools to accurately capture and replicate every visual aspect. This included identifying fonts, font sizes, colors, paddings, and margins, as well as gathering images and text to ensure the recreated site mirrored the original.

  • Detailed Design Analysis: Leveraged browser Developer Tools to analyze each element of the original Wix design, extracting fonts, colors, spacing, and layout details without direct access to the original site.
  • Element-by-Element Recreation: Using Kadence WP and Kadence Blocks Pro, I meticulously rebuilt the site structure, replicating the exact look and feel of the original design to maintain brand consistency.
  • Content Gathering and Optimization: Retrieved text and images from the original site, optimizing them as needed for faster performance in WordPress.
  • Performance-Focused Adjustments: Applied Kadence WP’s features and streamlined settings to enhance loading speed, ensuring a smoother, more responsive user experience.

This streamlined approach ensured a successful migration while retaining the integrity of the original design.
